The Procedures Available to Women & Men Choosing Plastic Surgery

For both men and women, various options are available for those whom are interested in cosmetic surgery. Upon selecting the procedure that is best for you, you will decide in conjunction with your plastic surgeon, after a detailed and thorough consultation. In the meantime, let’s have a quick look at some of the different treatments available.

Breasts and Body

Many women seek cosmetic surgery for their body after childbirth, due to pregnancy and breastfeeding, which can significantly change a woman’s body shape or leave them with sagging skin. Surgery can correct asymmetrical or different shaped breasts. You can also choose breast augmentation, implant revision and procedures, which change the size of your breasts. A breast lift can correct sagging skin or nipples, or you can opt for breast reduction, nipple correction- for inverted nipples, oversized areola’s and other complaints.

Other plastic surgery procedures include; abdominoplasty, otherwise known as a tummy tuck; Labiaplasty, to correct enlarged and/or misshapen labia; brachioplasty, also known as an arm lift; Brazilian Butt lift; and liposuction, to remove those stubborn fatty deposits.

Formulating a Plan

When formulating a plan, it is recommended that you consult with a specialist plastic surgeon, which has professional affiliations. Dr. Scott J Turner is affiliated with the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), among with other professional organisations. Dr Turner himself performs these surgeries, in his New South Wales locations. He aims to provide his patients with results that are both natural and beautiful, so that they gain renewed confidence, as well as the surgical benefits.

There are a number of surgical and non-surgical procedures available for both the face and the neck. These surgical treatments include; blepharoplasty, which is an eyelid surgery; a brow-lift, which is to improve the shape and position of the eyebrows; a face and neck lift to refresh and rejuvenate the face; Otoplasty – also known as ear pinning; and Rhinoplasty, which is otherwise known as a nose job.

Non-surgical Procedures

Non-surgical procedures include anti-wrinkle injections, CoolSculpting; which eliminates stubborn fat, dermal fillers; which fill in lines, contours and creases on the face and VelaShape VIII; to tone and firm the skin, and of course, improve the appearance of cellulite.

VECTRA 3D Imaging

VECTRA 3D imaging allows patients to get a good idea of how they can expect to look after their chosen cosmetic surgery procedure. A number of cameras take photographs to build a 3D picture of an individual’s preferred attributes. Special simulation software then alters the image to show the patient how they are likely to look after the treatment, for example, after breast augmentation or Rhinoplasty. They can then experiment with different looks to see which one they prefer.

Speak to your plastic surgeon for advice and ask about VECTRA 3D imaging. Consider all your options before you decide on your preferred procedure when choosing plastic surgery.
