# Lip Lift Brisbane

A lip lift is a small operation with unusually little margin in it. Also called an upper lip lift, subnasal lip lift or philtrum shortening, the procedure removes a measured strip of skin from beneath the base of the nose to shorten the distance between the nose and the upper lip — which in selected patients brings a little more upper lip vermilion into view and shows slightly more upper tooth at rest. What makes it demanding is not the technique but the planning: the excision is measured in millimetres, the incision sits on the central face, and skin that has been removed cannot be replaced. Conservative planning is not a preference in this operation; it is the whole discipline of it.
