What the Gallery Contains
This gallery includes breast augmentation results from patients who have undergone surgery with Dr Turner across a range of implant types, sizes, and techniques. Cases shown include:
- Round implants and anatomical (teardrop) implants
- Submuscular, dual plane, and subglandular placement
- A range of implant profiles: low, moderate, and high
- Patients with varying amounts of existing breast tissue
- Results across different body frames and chest measurements
All surgery is performed in Sydney, at Bondi Junction Private Hospital for Eastern Suburbs patients, and Delmar Private Hospital (Dee Why) for patients consulting from the Manly clinic on the Northern Beaches.
The decision between round and anatomical implants, profile, and placement is made at consultation based on chest wall anatomy and patient goals. For the technical detail, see breast implant options and round vs teardrop implant planning on the main procedure page.
Understanding the Timeline of Results
After photos are taken at or beyond the three-month mark, when the majority of initial swelling has resolved and implants have settled into their longer-term position. Results continue to evolve over the first year post-surgery.
General healing milestones:
- 1 to 2 weeks: Initial recovery; swelling and bruising are expected during this period
- 6 weeks: Most patients return to regular daily activity; exercise is reintroduced gradually
- 3 months: Swelling has largely resolved; implants begin to settle
- 6 to 12 months: Final position and softening of implants; scar maturation continues
Dr Turner schedules follow-up appointments throughout the first twelve months after surgery to monitor healing at both Sydney clinics.

The Consultation Process
Under Medical Board and AHPRA requirements, a GP referral is required before your first breast augmentation consultation with Dr Turner. The consultation process involves at minimum two appointments, along with a psychological evaluation as part of the standard intake process.
During your initial consultation, Dr Turner will:
- Assess your chest wall dimensions and existing breast tissue
- Discuss your goals and what may realistically be achievable based on your anatomy
- Explain implant options (type, size, profile, and placement) and the reasoning behind recommendations for your specific case
- Use volume sizers to help you visualise the range of options
- Outline surgical technique, recovery, and relevant risks
A seven-day cooling-off period applies between consultation and proceeding with surgery. This is a mandatory Medical Board requirement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these real patient photos?
Yes. Every photograph in this gallery is from an actual patient who underwent breast augmentation with Dr Scott J Turner. Images are not digitally altered. The patient provided consent for clinical photographs to be used for educational purposes.
Do the photos reflect what my result will look like?
No. Results shown are individual to each patient. Many variables influence the outcome of breast augmentation — including your existing breast tissue, chest wall shape, skin quality, implant choice, and the way your body heals. These images are presented to give a general sense of the range of results patients have experienced, not as a prediction or promise of any specific outcome.
What implant types are shown in the gallery?
The gallery includes results from both round and anatomical (teardrop) implants, across varying sizes and profiles. The most appropriate implant type for your anatomy and goals will be discussed during consultation — it is not a decision made based on photos alone.
How soon after surgery were the after photos taken?
After photos are taken at or beyond the three-month mark, when early swelling has resolved and results have had time to settle. The final appearance of implants continues to develop over the first twelve months as the tissue adapts and scars mature.
What does the consultation process involve before surgery can go ahead?
Under Australian regulations, breast augmentation requires a GP referral, a minimum of two consultations with Dr Turner, a psychological evaluation, and a cooling-off period before surgery is scheduled. Dr Turner’s team can guide you through each step of this process at the time of booking.
