About Abdominoplasty Surgery

An abdominoplasty is generally performed on both men and women who have achieved a healthy weight range wishing to remove excess skin and fat, that no amount of diet or exercise can correct. By removing the excess skin and fat, and then repairing & improving the strength of your abdominal wall, this procedure can achieve a flatter & tighter tummy.

This improved shape can result in long-term positive effects on your ability to exercise, lifestyle and overall well-being. Patients often comment on how much easier daily activities have become, such as movement & exercising.

Looking at the Surgical Results shown in Patient Photos

When reviewing before and after cosmetic surgery photos, it’s vital to know what you’re looking for. Photo galleries can help you to identify a surgeon’s skill and experience, and understand the normal results you might expect from this surgeon. To make the most out of your gallery viewing, here are some tips to follow:

  • Find some “before” images that look similar to you
  • Look for a range of the surgeon’s normal results – not just the BEST results only
  • Look for consistent surgical results with different patients
  • Learn to recognize new or recent result (new scars) vs. a final result (months later)
  • Ask to see more Liposuction before and after photos during your consultation too
